Join a leading acute-care hospital as an IMC Registered Nurse in Charlotte, NC. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the Intermediate Critical Care Unit, providing specialized care for patients with various critical conditions.

Job Details:

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years of Minimum Experience
• Traveler Experience: Unit WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers

Required Skills / Certifications / Experience:

• Skills: IV Start, Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, Titration of Cardiac Drips, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Feeding Tube Management, Heparin Protocols, PCA, CVA
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS

Preferred Skills / Certifications / Experience:

• Skills: MS/Tele, Titrate Vasoactive Drips, Care of Ventilated Patients, Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Certifications: NHISS

Patient Diagnoses: The Intermediate Critical Care Unit specializes in caring for patients with conditions such as DKA, Sickle Cell, Sepsis, Respiratory Distress, Pneumonia, Heart Failure, Stroke, and stroke-like symptoms.

Special Procedures / Unit Details: The unit functions as a Rapid Response RN.

Special Equipment: Bipap, Cpap, Optiflow

Unit Systems: PYXSIS, EPIC

Scheduling Type: Self-schedule that is then balanced/approved by a staffer.

Unit Orientation: 36 Hours

Scrubs: All navy or Navy and White

Note: RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. All missed shifts should be made up within the same week if possible; if not, time should be added to the end of the contract to make up the missed shift. Float Requirement: FLOATING REQUIRED as needed to Med Surg (1:6 Ratio). Weekend Requirement: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
