Join our team as a Med Surg/Telemetry Float Registered Nurse in Los Angeles, CA! This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced RNs looking for a contract position in a dynamic healthcare environment. We are seeking dedicated professionals with a passion for patient care and a commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care to patients in a telemetry and medical-surgical setting, with a focus on orthopedics and simple gynecological procedures.
• Utilize Epic software for patient management and documentation.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias effectively.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care.
• Manage respiratory needs, including CPAP/BIPAP and tracheostomy care.
• Participate in Rapid Response Teams as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience required.
• 3 years of RN experience is mandatory.
• Must have experience with VENT and cardiac monitoring.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Ability to read cardiac strips is essential.
• Must be able to float between units as necessary.

Unit Details:

• Average Census: 36 Rooms/Beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Patient Population: Adolescents to Geriatrics
• Every other weekend coverage required; no call requirement.
• Scrubs: Royal Blue

Please note that a Request Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the application, and no RTO is allowed during the first two weeks of the assignment.
