Join a leading healthcare organization as a PCU Registered Nurse in Overland Park, KS. This contract position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU/Step Down unit.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage cardiac telemetry.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float between various units as needed, including Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU Departments.

Requirements:

• Experience: 1 to 2 years of nursing experience required; first-timers accepted.
• Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred.
• Skills: Experience with cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and various patient care scenarios including sepsis, wound care, and stroke management.
• Floating: Must be willing to float between approximately 5 units and other Metro campuses as needed.
• Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.

Additional Information:

• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments may be required.
• Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period.
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility.
• No more than 7 days of RTO restrictions allowed.
