Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in New Haven, CT. We are seeking experienced RNs for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on providing exceptional care to patients requiring step-down services. This contract position offers a supportive environment and a commitment to your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including those on mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a PCU or similar setting.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required.
- Experience with ICU, Vent, Tele, and Tracheostomy patients is mandatory.
- Active RN license required prior to start date; pending licenses accepted.
- Availability for every other weekend shifts.
