Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) in Canton, MS. This contract position offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on providing exceptional patient care.

The facility features 67 beds, with 4 operating rooms and 1 procedure room, handling approximately 15-22 cases per day. As an RN in the OR, you will be expected to have experience in general surgery, orthopedic fractures and scopes, plastics, GI, urology, pediatric dental, and surgical oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Operating Room.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in on-unit orientation and training, including a 1-week orientation to the unit.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required (PALS if involved in pediatric cases).
• Flu vaccine is required, with medical exemptions allowed upon documented evidence of a past severe reaction.
• Fingerprinting is required, which can be processed remotely or in person at designated campuses.

This position includes a call schedule of 2 weekdays and 1 weekend per month. You will not be required to scrub and circulate, and there will be no floating to other units.

The facility utilizes Omnicel for medication management and Epic for charting. Orientation consists of on-unit training and virtual education through Healthstream.
