Join a leading healthcare facility as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Acute Care in Princeton, WV. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in patient care while working with a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics.

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care in various inpatient settings, including the Emergency Department and inpatient units. The ideal candidate will have experience in ER and ICU settings, with a preference for pediatric experience. Responsibilities include administering breathing treatments, managing ventilators, performing ABG draws, and conducting EKGs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administering breathing treatments and managing ventilators.
• Drawing and running ABG samples.
• Performing EKGs for both outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assisting in intubation procedures.
• Covering EKGs for assigned respiratory treatment areas.

Requirements for this position include:

• Certifications: STABLE, ACLS, BLS, Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) via NBRC, or RRT preferred, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS.
• Experience: Required in ER, ICU, and inpatient adult care; pediatric experience preferred but willing to train.
• Ability to work a rotating day/night schedule, including weekends as scheduled.

This facility typically staffs 7 RTs during the day and 5 RTs at night, with a manageable caseload of 40-70 treatments per therapist. The department has a supportive environment with a lead therapist or supervisor available for guidance.

Travelers will not be required to perform critical care transporting outside of the facility. The scheduling manager creates a set schedule four weeks in advance, with weekend and holiday requirements as outlined.
