Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Richmond, VA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 19 Main PACU, 4 Beds in Atrium PACU
• Number of Staff: 13 Full-time RNs, Clinical Coordinator, Dept. Assistants
• Patient Ratios: 2:1, 1:1 unstable ICU, 1:1 pediatrics
• Type of Equipment: Ventilators, Phillips and GE monitors, Sigma spectrum pumps
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile:

Skill Set:

• Must Have: PACU or ICU experience with a strong neuro background, and ventilator competency.
• Preferred: ICU or PACU experience, drip titration, and neurosurgery skills.

Typical Procedures Performed:

• Set up PCA pump
• Drip titration
• Arterial line blood draw

Best Personality Fit: Candidates should possess good organizational skills, be able to multitask, work well in a team, and be reliable.

Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS

Floating Areas: None

Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire - navy

Weekends and On Call: On call weekday from 9:30 PM - 8:00 AM, Weekend call 7 AM - 7 AM. Call rotates among staff.
