Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN specializing in Surgical services in Alexandria, LA. This contract position offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a Travel RN, you will play a crucial role in delivering both routine and complex care while adapting to the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

Meet expectations of the applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: BLS certification via AHA required; RN License in state of employment or compact.

Work Schedule: 7AM-3PM, Full Time. Weekend and on-call requirements may apply.
