We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at a leading acute-care hospital in Eureka, CA. This is a contract position in the Labor & Delivery (L&D) specialty, where you will provide exceptional care to patients during labor and postpartum. We welcome first-time travelers and value your expertise in this critical area of healthcare.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery, with a preference for postpartum care. You will be part of a culturally diverse population and will have the opportunity to circulate on cesarean sections. Weekend availability is required to meet staffing needs, and travelers may float within their scope to support the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions and respond to any changes.
- Assist in cesarean sections and other procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Current California state RN license (pending licenses are not accepted).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery.
- Ability to float within scope as needed.
- No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) restrictions.
