Join a leading acute-care hospital as an MRI Technologist in Charlotte, NC. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a dedicated team. As an MRI Tech, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to patients.

Unit Information:

• 130 Licensed Beds
• Average patients/day: 25-30
• Minimum 1 year MRI experience required (acute or outpatient)
• First-time travelers are welcome

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Patients range from 5 years old to geriatric
• Common diagnoses include stroke, internal auditory canal (IAC) issues, pituitary conditions, and total spines

Required License and Certifications:

• BLS
• ARRT-MR

Skills Required:

• Experience with MRI safety and patient care
• Critical thinking and ability to care for confused patients
• IV skills preferred for day positions

Support within the Department:

• Transporter available until 2300
• MRI Assistant for days/nights
• Lead MRI Tech available via phone at night
• Radiologist offsite reading 24/7

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC (preferred)
• PACS: ViewPACS
• Unit specific equipment: GE Cigna Artist 1.5, MR 400 tele monitor

Orientation:

• 1 week of days and 1 week of nights for night positions
• Up to 3 weeks of unit orientation for day positions

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: dependent on requisition
• On call: Yes, 1 weekend per month
• Holiday expectations: every other holiday
