Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in Burlington, NC! We are seeking dedicated healthcare professionals with Cardiac PCU experience to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive setting with a focus on cardiac and respiratory patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring.
• Care for pre/post cardiac catheterization patients.
• Management of peripheral lines, PICC lines, and cardiac/vasoactive drips (no titration).
• Administer procedural sedation and manage chest tubes.
• Provide care for patients with congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, and respiratory issues such as COPD and pneumonia.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of PCU experience required.
• Comfortable with 1:5 ratios; previous charge RN experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC and rapid response teams is a plus.

The PCU features a 30-private bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department that operates 24/7, with rooms remotely monitored by the Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department (CCMD). Staff are scheduled for a 6-week period via a self-assisted schedule through Optilink, with distribution based on departmental needs and patient work intensity.
