Join our team as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse at a leading acute-care hospital in Lee's Summit, MO. This is an exciting opportunity for RNs who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Position Overview: As a Med Surg/Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients in a telemetry and medical-surgical setting. You will monitor patients' vital signs, manage medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a Med Surg/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including blood product administration and central line care.
• Perform assessments and document patient progress using the Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Float between departments as needed to meet facility demands.

Requirements:

• 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Experience in telemetry and cardiac monitoring is essential.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips (no titration).
• Strong skills in IV therapy and phlebotomy.
• Knowledge of gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and respiratory care.
• Must be able to work 8 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule period.
• No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed.

Additional Information:

• Daily census: 30 patients
• Number of rooms: 30
• Charge RN assignments may be required as needed.
• Regular floating may be required between departments and units.
