Join a leading healthcare provider as an RRT Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neurology in Newark, NY. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient care and advanced respiratory diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float between Long Term Care (LTC) and Acute Care settings as needed.
• Perform critical care procedures including extubation, intubation assist, and tracheostomy care.
• Administer medications and conduct patient assessments.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hamilton Vent, Servo-U, NKV330, and V60.
• Conduct ABG sampling and manage ventilators.
• Provide pulmonary hygiene and support for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, and respiratory infections.

Requirements:

• MUST HAVE LICENSE PRIOR TO SUBMIT.
• Active RRT license and BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Experience with adult critical care and emergency department settings is preferred.
• Ability to float between facilities in the Eastern region; personal car is required due to rural locations.

This position requires weekend shifts every other week, totaling 6 weekend shifts during the 13-week contract. First-time travelers are welcomed to apply.
