Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Cardiac Tele Registered Nurse in Salisbury, NC. This is a contract position in a fast-paced telemetry unit, focusing on cardiac and stroke patients. We are seeking dedicated RNs with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care for pre- and post-procedure cardiac patients, including those with pacemakers and cardiac catheterizations.
• Administer cardiac drips and manage patients with unstable angina, low-risk chest pain, CHF, dysrhythmias, and new CVA/TIA cases.
• Work with telemetry and pulse oximetry equipment, ensuring stable oxygen saturation and managing high-flow oxygen needs.
• Participate in a self-scheduling system with oversight from leadership.
• Assist with admissions and discharges, supported by a team lead.

Required Skills and Certifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a telemetry or cardiac unit.
• ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• Experience with IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
• Ability to manage a patient load of 5-6, with flexibility for surge situations.

Unit Details:

• Target patient ratios: 1:5-6, with potential fluctuations based on unit needs.
• Unit typically turns over 78 to 90 patients weekly.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend, plus 2 Mondays and 2 Fridays in a 6-week period.
• Must be comfortable floating to other units as needed.
