Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Santa Fe, NM. This contract position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment while working a schedule of four 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units.
• Ensure quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with unit standards.
• Conduct initial assessments and establish priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
• Re-assess patients systematically to identify progress and trends requiring intervention.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans within established time frames.
• Make comprehensive nursing decisions based on patient evaluations and modify care plans as needed.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA required.
• Knowledgeable and sensitive to patient rights in the delivery of care.
• Effective communication skills appropriate to the developmental age of patients.

This position requires weekend availability with two weekends of 12-hour shifts on call per month. Floating within surgical services is required, and the EMR system used is EPIC. The dress code consists of graphite gray scrubs.
