Join a leading acute-care hospital in Sanford, NC, as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing critical care to patients of all ages. With orientation held weekly on Mondays, you will be part of a dedicated team in a facility that is Joint Commission Accredited and recognized as a Primary Stroke Center.

Facility Overview: This 137-bed acute care hospital is located in the heart of Northern Carolina, offering services such as cardiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, OBGYN, gastroenterology, hospitalist services, nephrology, hematology, urology, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, and wound care. The facility is conveniently situated just 3 hours from the NC coast and the Blue Ridge Mountains, with easy access to Raleigh, Durham, and the Research Triangle region.

• Number of Beds: 21 (12 telemetry beds, 3 behavioral health beds, 5 fast track rooms)
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Equipment: Emergency Equipment
• EHR: Cerner
• Supervisor: Daniel Register, ED Nurse Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage trauma, resuscitation, IV therapy, oxygen demand support, and blood products.
• Perform basic telemetry/EKG monitoring.

Requirements:

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH, de-escalation training (HWC, CPI or MAB), PALS
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in emergency nursing
• Preferred Skills: Emergency Medicine, Psych ER experience
