Join our team as a Travel RN specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) at a leading healthcare facility in Thousand Oaks, CA. We are seeking dedicated professionals who possess critical skills in vaginal exams and circulating C-Sections. A valid California RN License is required, along with a resume that highlights your qualifications.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 9 LDRs and 4 additional beds for triage and outpatient testing
• Number of Staff: 43
• Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
• Type of Equipment: Hospital beds, GE Novii and wired fetal monitors, OR equipment
• EMR: CPN/Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile:

Must Have Skills:

• Excellent Critical Thinking Skills
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
• Fetal monitoring experience (2 years)
• C-Section Circulator and Post CS recovery experience
• Vaginal Exams proficiency
• Care of the laboring patient, including CS and Vaginal delivery and recovery
• Experience with high-risk antepartum patients (Gestational Hypertension, Gestational Diabetes)
• Knowledge of Obstetrical Emergencies, including Ob Hemorrhage
• Care of the newborn within the first hour of life (Breastfeeding, initial latch)
• Strong customer service skills

Preferred Skills:

• Scrub experience
• NCC certification in Ip-Ob or EFM

• Labor and Delivery Management, including vaginal exams
• Outpatient testing: NST, CST, BPP
• OB Triage, OBED, MSE
• Versions, Cervical Cerclage
• OP Injections
