Join a leading healthcare provider as a Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) in the Operating Room (OR) at a prominent facility in Martinsburg, WV. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment with a focus on orthopedic and neuro procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, primarily in orthopedics and neurosurgery.
• Maintain proficiency in assisting during surgeries, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
• Participate in holiday call rotation and cover as a CST as needed.
• Collaborate with a team of surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional surgical support.

Submission Requirements:

• Can only submit to one position at a time across the entire system.
• Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility.
• Previous permanent candidates must be gone for 2 years.
• Previous travelers must have been gone for 1 full year.
• Individual unit requirements apply.
• Travel teams must be submitted together in one email.
• Only 2 candidates can be submitted per opening; submissions will be held if the position is at max capacity.
• All license hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in the specialty is required, along with 2-3 previous travel assignments.
• Current surgical tech certification through one of the following boards: NBSTSA, NCCT, or AAHA.
• Must have one of the following certifications: CSFA through NBSTSA, CSA through NCCSA, or SA-C through ABSA.
• CAAHEP accredited Surgical Assistant graduate.
• Ortho/Neuro experience is preferred.

Work Environment:

• Unit OR (Cost Center 72) with 14 suites.
• Average of 28 cases per day with 5 add-ons, including SDS cases.
• Charge Nurse available; EMR EPIC system in use.
• Weekend and weeknight call rotations required, with a call response time of 20 minutes.
• Scrubs are provided for RN's and OR Techs.
