Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN specializing in Telemetry in Alexandria, LA. This is an exciting opportunity for dedicated nurses who are passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment. With a focus on teamwork and patient experience, this contract position offers a chance to work alongside experienced staff and utilize advanced technology.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Unit staffing includes 2 unit secretaries and patient care techs available at all times, depending on census.
• Type of equipment: Telemetry monitors, Dynamaps for vital signs, glucometers, iMobile phones, bladder scanner.
• Documentation system: Meditech.

Scheduling Requirements:

• 12-hour shifts (7 PM - 7 AM), every other weekend, and holidays required.
• All nurses float to other units as needed.

Patient Experience Requirements:

• Hourly rounding, bedside shift report, My Care Boards, AIDET.

Hospital Specifics:

• Pathways to Excellence Certified.
• Certified Stroke Center.
• Certified Chest Pain Center.
• Level II Trauma Center.

Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:

• Strong nursing background and knowledge.
• Thorough assessment skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage condition changes.
• Positive attitude, flexibility, dependability, teamwork, self-motivation, good communication and people skills.
• Desire for excellence, accountability, and ability to multitask in stressful situations.

Certifications Required:

• BLS, ACLS.

Dress Code:

• Ceil Blue Scrubs; adherence to hospital hygiene/dress code policy is required.

• Awards/Recognition: HCA Unit of Distinction winner, high employee engagement scores, and many nurses are nationally certified.
• Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, and schedule options.
• Highly experienced staff with extensive experience and advanced technology.
• Self-scheduling within guidelines.
