Join a leading acute-care hospital in Alexandria, LA, as a Travel RN specializing in Telemetry. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate healthcare services while enhancing your skills in a dynamic environment.

Unit Profile: The Med/Surg Tele unit is designed to provide exceptional patient care with a focus on teamwork and accountability. The unit consists of 31 beds with a patient ratio of 6:1, ensuring a supportive environment for both staff and patients. You will be part of a well-equipped team that utilizes Meditech for documentation and has advanced communication tools like iPhones for seamless coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide care for acute care stroke patients, utilizing well-developed critical thinking skills.
• Adhere to A.I.D.E.T behaviors and knowledge of core measures to prevent hospital-acquired conditions (HACs) and infections (HAIs).
• Participate in block scheduling and rotating weekends as required.
• Float to other Med-Surg and Tele units as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least one year of acute care experience.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification preferred.
• Chemo experience is a plus.
