This is an exciting opportunity for a Travel RN specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) at a leading acute-care hospital in Dallas, TX. This 8-week assignment offers a chance to work in a high-risk obstetrical unit with a focus on providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns. We prioritize AWHONN staffing ratios, ensuring quality patient care.

Unit Highlights:

• High-risk obstetrical unit with a capacity of 24 beds.
• Patient ratios: Cervical ripening 2:1, triage 3:1, stable postpartum magnesium 2:1, unstable magnesium or laboring magnesium 1:1, pitocin or active labor 1:1, early labor 2:1.
• Must have high-risk, high-volume experience.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit.
• Perform assessments and monitor patients during labor and delivery.
• Assist in vaginal deliveries, c-sections, and post-delivery recovery care.
• Utilize GE fetal monitors and document care using Meditech and CPN.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience.
• High-risk obstetrical bedside training and experience circulating in c-sections.
• Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certificate preferred.

Dress Code:

• Scrubs must be clean and professional; no artificial nails or extreme hairstyles.
• Tattoos should be covered whenever possible; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
