Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 36
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 with cath recovery, 6:1 max ratio, may stretch to 7:1
- Unit Staffing Description: PCTs on day and night shift, Unit Clerks on day shift
- Type of Equipment: Remote Telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend
- Floating Policy: Agency floats first (may float to Ortho/Med-Surg)
- Patient Experience Requirements: Strive for 75% patient satisfaction rate
Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:
- Must Have: Telemetry experience
- Advanced Skills Needed: Knowledge of chest tubes, Dysthymia training
- Procedures Performed on Unit: Chest tube insertions, Bedside Paracentesis, and Thoracentesis
- Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH
- Dress Code: Any scrubs except camo
