Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse in Columbus, OH. This contract position offers a dynamic environment where you’ll provide critical care to patients with severe medical conditions. We are seeking experienced RNs who thrive in high-pressure situations and are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
Schedule: 3x12's / 36 Hours / D/N Schedule rotates every 4 weeks or 4 weeks days/4 weeks nights. Estimated Patient Ratios: 1:1-2.
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience. EPIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
Certifications Required:
- BCLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- AHA Certifications only
Skills Required:
- Proficient in IV start
- Experience with telemetry
- Competency with ventilators
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Proficiency in EPIC documentation system
Specialized Experience in:
- Multisystem Organ Failure
- Respiratory Failure
- COVID
- Sepsis
- Post-Cardiac Arrest
- Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Liver Failure
- Renal Failure
Special Procedures/Unit Details:
- Continuous Glucose Monitoring for Hyperglycemia
- Externalized IV Pumps for COVID+ Patients
Special Equipment Knowledge:
- NxStage CRRT
- Alaris IV Pump
- GE Cardiac Monitor
- GE Ventilator
- Boom Lift in Each Patient Room
Parking Options:
- WMC Monthly Permit: $224.80/month or $748.58 per 100 days. Includes guaranteed 24/7 parking in the Wexner Medical Center Garage.
- WB Annual Permit: $196.20/year, paid upfront. Includes 24/7 West Campus surface parking and shuttle service.
- CXS Annual Permit: $393.96/year, paid upfront. Includes 24/7 Buckeye CX and West Campus surface parking.
