Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room (OR) in Watertown, NY. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality patient care while utilizing your nursing skills.

As an OR RN, you will be expected to adhere to the 100 MILE RADIUS RULE. The shift will be from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, working 8-hour days, with weekend, holiday, and on-call duties required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Hold a current New York State RN license.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Possess preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to provide quality patient care.
• Assess patient needs, including clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspects.
• Recognize safety issues for yourself and others, implementing safe patient handling techniques.
• Function well in stressful situations and exhibit strong problem-solving skills.
• Exhibit strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
• May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse.
• Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Utilize clinical equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe and aseptic environment in the OR/ASU setting.
• Interpret lethal dysrhythmias effectively.
• Be available for on-call duties with a response time of 30 minutes.
