Join a leading acute-care hospital in Asheville, NC, as a Travel RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care. Our facility is known for its commitment to excellence and has been recognized for outstanding nursing practices.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 10 ICU/PCU Overflow
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 ICU, 4-5:1 PCU
• Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RNs
• Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RNs
• Type of Equipment: Lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, IV pumps, etc.
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling Requirements: 12 hr shifts, every other weekend requirement, holiday support.
• Floating Policy: Yes, travelers will be required to float.

Hiring Profile:

We are seeking candidates with:

• Medical ICU experience in a large facility
• Comfort with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Critical thinking skills, flexibility, and the ability to work well with others

Advanced Skills Needed:

• Ventilator management
• Critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors, etc.)
• Advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Central line management

Procedures Performed on Unit: Assist providers with bedside procedures as needed, including chest tube insertion and intubations.

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

Dress Code: Navy Blue or white scrubs
