Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 11
• Number of Staff: 3
• Patient Ratios: 1:4
• Type of Equipment: Trauma, POC lab, precipitous delivery
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Hiring Profile:

• Must Have:
  • More than 2 years of FSED/ED experience
  • Proficiency with tough sticks, large bore IVs, blood cultures, triage, and monitoring
• Preferred:
  • More than 2 years of ED/FSED experience
  • Ability to work with minimal oversight

Typical Procedures Performed:

• POC lab
• Emergency response procedures

Best Personality Fit:

• Flexible, good teamwork skills

Required Certifications:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS, CPI

Floating Areas:

• FSEDs/ED

Dress Code:

• Scrub Color/Attire: Royal Blue

Unit Guidelines/Policies:

• Emergency protocols: code blue, stroke, STEMI, sepsis

Weekends and On-Call:

• Every other weekend
