Join a leading acute-care hospital in Florence, AL, as a Travel RN in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing critical care to adult and geriatric patients. With a focus on teamwork and communication, you will be an integral part of the Critical Care Services team.

Position Information:

• Role: RN
• Specialty: Critical Care/Intensive Care
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Years of Experience: 5 years

Float Requirements: Critical Care Unit, CVICU overflow, Critical Care Step-Down, Med-Surg

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: CCU- 22, CVICU- 14 (varies), CCSD- 31
• Patient Ratios: CCU- 1:2, 1:3; CVICU- 1:2, 1:3; CCSD- 1:4, 1:5; Med-surg- 1:6
• Equipment: SpaceLabs bedside monitoring, Baxter/Spectrum IV pumps, Hill-Rom critical care beds, Ventilators, and more.
• EHR: Meditech

Hiring Profile:

• Must Have Skills/Experience: Efficient time management, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, proficiency in nursing skills (IV starts, ECG interpretation, etc.), and effective communication with patients & families.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in a teaching hospital, high-acuity ICU, SICU, MICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, and PCU/Med-surg.
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Respiratory Failure, strokes, Cardiogenic shock, GI Bleeds, CABGs, and more.
• Personality Fit: Team player with excellent communication skills, able to function in critical situations.

Required Education: All online learning Lifetalent assignments including NIHSS, ACLS/BLS, and Moderate Sedation/Analgesia.

Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs required; neutral colored t-shirts/sweatshirts/vests allowed if solid or with logo.
