Join a leading healthcare provider as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Morgantown, WV. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in patient care within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting. You will be part of a dedicated team providing exceptional care to patients transitioning from higher acuity levels.

This contract position requires a commitment to working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, primarily during the day, with some weekend shifts. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, with flexibility to adjust to a 1:5 ratio during emergencies. Please note that holiday requests should be limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients in the IMC/IMU/PCU setting.
• Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize telemetry and IV skills effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1.5-2+ years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in MS/Tele and 2 years in Stepdown.
• Ability to read telemetry strips is essential.
• Travel experience is not required, but blocked schedules will be considered (weekend blocks only).

Scrubs are not provided; candidates should wear burgundy and/or white. Familiarity with Cerner EMR is preferred.
