Join a leading acute-care hospital in Danville, VA, as an RN specializing in Med Surg. As part of this role, you will work in a 24-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:6, providing care to a diverse patient population. The facility is equipped with comprehensive surgical services, a 24-hour ED, and advanced care centers, making it a pivotal healthcare provider in the area.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med Surg unit.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement patient care plans.
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Requirements:

Active RN license in Virginia.
Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience preferred.
Required certifications: BLS, HWC (available on-site), NIH.
Professional demeanor and commitment to patient care.

This position offers guaranteed hours, with weekend hours required every other week or as needed. Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays, and all travelers must have the required certifications prior to starting. The facility also conducts random drug screenings on-site.
