Join a leading acute-care hospital as a PCU Registered Nurse in Lubbock, TX. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down. We welcome both experienced nurses and first-time travelers!
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float between units as needed to meet patient care demands.
**Requirements:**
- 1 year of nursing experience required.
- First-time travelers are welcome.
- Ability to work weekends (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule).
- Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:4.
**Facility Highlights:**
- Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care.
- Total Staffed Beds: 379.
- Level II Trauma Center.
**Dress Code:**
- Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN) must wear solid navy blue uniforms or scrub attire (scrub tops may have colored piping).
- Unlicensed personnel (US, CNA, PCA, NT, MT) must wear solid hunter green uniforms or scrub attire.
**Parking:**
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space; please park in designated Employee/Visitor Parking lots.
