Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 52
- Number of Staff: 134
- Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
- Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel per pod
- Patient Ratios: 3:1 average, low acuity 5:1, Pediatrics = team nursing
- Type of Equipment: Alaris
- EMR: Meditech / CPN
Typical Hiring Profile:
Must Have:
- Minimum 1-year current hospital ED experience
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH certifications
- CPI Blue card
Preferred or Nice to Have:
- ENPC certification
- Meditech experience
- Experience in traveling to large facilities/areas
Typical Procedures Performed on Unit:
- IV starts
- Medication administration
- Sedations
- Pediatrics

- Able to keep up with a fast-paced ER
- Diverse and able to learn quickly
- Comfortable working in a young and dynamic team
Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- Expectation to scan patients' medications every time
