Join our team as a Travel RN specializing in Pediatrics at a leading acute-care hospital in Santa Fe, NM. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses who are committed to providing exceptional care to pediatric patients, including post-partum mothers and post-operative patients. This position is ideal for those with experience in both pediatrics and medical-surgical nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units.
- Ensure quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit's standards of care.
- Obtain and record initial assessments, establishing priorities according to patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs.
- Develop and implement measurable individualized plans of care within established time frames.
- Participate in patient/significant other health education and discharge planning.
- Utilize effective communication strategies to achieve intended outcomes and promote a positive work environment.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
- Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required.
- Experience in pediatrics and medical-surgical nursing preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with patients and families.
This position requires a commitment to weekend and on-call duties, as well as floating between Labor & Delivery and Med-Surg units as needed. The EMR system used is Epic, and the dress code consists of grey scrubs.
