Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the PACU department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Our facility is known for its state-of-the-art equipment and commitment to patient care.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 17 pre/post bays
- Number of Staff: 3 FT staff and 1 PT staff
- Patient Ratios: Pre-Op 1:2, PACU Phase 1 is 1:1 and Phase 2 is 2:2
- Type of Equipment: Stretchers, Blood glucose monitors, BP monitors, Pyxis machines
- EMR: Meditech
Typical Procedures Performed:
- Total joint procedures
- Sports Medicine
- Foot/Ankle surgeries
- Podiatry, hand and nerve cases
- General surgery (Hernias, Lap appy, Lap chole cases primarily)
- Breast cases with some plastic reconstruction (mastectomy with tissue expanders or direct to implant cases)
Skill Set:
- Must Have: Minimum 1-year current PACU experience, BLS & ACLS
- Preferred: Knowledge of PT/OT instructions for Joint patients, Comfortable with bedside teaching

Our facility primarily performs 80% orthopedic cases and 20% general surgery. We have a supportive team of kind surgeons and an exceptional anesthesia provider team. Our PACU RNs collaborate closely with floor nurses for patient admissions, ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. Our facility is recognized for its beauty and cleanliness, being only 5 years old, and our great team morale reflects our commitment to excellence in patient care.
