Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Danville, VA. This contract position is ideal for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in a vibrant community. With a mission of Making Communities Healthier, this facility has been serving the region for over 120 years, providing comprehensive surgical services and 24-hour emergency services.
The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of Emergency Department experience, with consideration given to those with both ICU and ED backgrounds. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care, NIH, and PALS or ENPC. This position offers a supportive environment where professionalism, positivity, and compassion are valued.
Unit Profile:
- Facility Department/Cost Center: ER SERVICES
- Number of Beds: 31 beds and 2 Triage rooms; 7 of the 31 are utilized for Behavioral Health or Acute patients.
- Patient Ratios: 1:4, with exceptions during high-volume days.
- EHR: Primarily MedHost (ED) and Meditech for admit holds.
- Patient Population: Serves all ages.
As a Travel RN in the ER, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to providing exceptional care. The facility is known for its small-town charm, located by the banks of the Dan River, offering picturesque views and a rich cultural scene.
All Travelers must have required certifications prior to start and will undergo random drug screening on-site. Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays, and candidates must be located 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rates.
