Join a leading healthcare provider as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Seattle, WA. We are seeking a dedicated RN with experience in high-risk labor and delivery to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. This contract position offers a chance to work with a dynamic team while supporting mothers and newborns during their critical moments.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide care for midwifery clients and private OB patients.
Support adult recovery services and community care clinics.
Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
Administer medications and perform assessments as required, including Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Vitamin K injections.
Float to sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care as needed.
Adhere to AWHONN guidelines for staffing and patient care.

Patient Diagnoses:

High-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
Support for substance recovery during delivery.

Unit Details:

High-risk, high-volume labor and delivery unit with an average daily census of 15 patients and 500-600 deliveries per month.
31 beds and 4 operating rooms available.
Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.

Certifications:

Required: BLS, NRP
Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate

This position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in labor and delivery, with a strong emphasis on high-risk cases. Candidates must be able to work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
