Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Seasonal Travel RN in the ICU, specializing in MICU/SICU. This position is based in Kansas City, MO, and offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. With a start date of November 30, 2026, you will be part of a dedicated team providing critical care to patients in need.
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios: 2:1
- Unit staffing includes Unit Secretary available from 07:30 to 00:00
- Documentation system: Meditech
Scheduling Requirements:
- 3 shifts of 12 hours each, every other weekend (or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period)
- Floating policy includes similar units: NSICU, Cardiac Telemetry, Progressive Care Unit, Burn Unit, ED Inpatient Overflow, and others as per hospital needs
Patient Experience Requirements:
- 2 years of ICU experience required
- Preferred experience in trauma patient management, IV administration of vasoactive medications, ventilator management, and care of post-op surgical patients
Certifications Required:
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (preferred but not required: TNCC)
Dress Code:
- Top: Navy scrub top (no t-shirts, must be scrub top)
- Bottoms: Navy or black scrub bottoms
- Jackets: Navy, White, or Black (solid colors)
- Undershirts: Navy, White, or Black (solid colors)
