Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Neuro ICU (NSICU) in Kansas City, MO. This seasonal contract position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced RNs looking to make a difference in patient care. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with guaranteed hours of 48 per week.

Unit Specifics:

  • Number of Beds: 32
  • Patient Ratios: 2:1
  • Unit Secretary Availability: 07:30 - 00:00

Requirements:

  • 2 years of ICU experience required; trauma patient management preferred
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (preferred but not required: TNCC)
  • Advanced skills in hemodynamic and ventilator management
  • Experience with IV administration of vasoactive medications, chest tube management, and care of post-op surgical patients
  • Ability to identify and manage cardiac rhythms and perform hemodynamic monitoring

Responsibilities:

  • Care for stroke patients and manage complex ICU cases
  • Perform procedures such as chest tube placement, ventriculostomy, moderate sedation, CRRT, therapeutic hypothermia, ECMO, arterial line, and central line placement

Dress Code:

  • Top: Navy scrub top (no t-shirts, must be scrub top)
  • Bottoms: Navy or black scrub bottoms
  • Jackets: Navy, White, or Black (solid colors)
  • Undershirts: Navy, White, or Black (solid colors)
