Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Med/Surg unit located in Englewood, CO. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, where patient care is a top priority. The Med/Surg unit is freshly renovated and expanding, making it an exciting time to be part of the team.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 27
• Number of Staff: 43
• Staff Composition: RN, PCT, Nurse externs, Social Workers, and Patient coordinators
• Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs
• Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 RNs, and 1.5 CNAs
• Patient Ratios: 5:1
• Type of Equipment: iMobile on iPhones, gait belts, bed alarms, IV pumps, Wound vacs, Hoyer lifts (occasional), Welch-Allyn vitals machines
• EMR: Meditech

Typical Responsibilities:

• Med pass (mostly PO, some IV medications)
• Safe ambulation and toileting
• High-quality charting
• Central line dressing changes
• Catheter care and peri-care
• Wound care and wet to dry dressing changes
• Wound vac management
• Blood administration
• Pain and comfort management
• Neuro checks and stroke-rehabilitation cares
• Vital signs, blood sugar checks, and telemetry

Candidate Requirements:

• Must Have: Minimum 1-year current Med/Surg or Rehabilitation RN experience, BLS
• Preferred: Experience in rehab nursing or orthopedic, experience in Neuro or trauma nursing
