Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) in Danville, VA. We are seeking dedicated and experienced RNs with a passion for providing exceptional patient care. If you have 5+ years of Emergency Department experience, we want to hear from you!
As a Travel RN in the ER, you will be part of a dynamic team in a facility that has been serving the community for over 120 years. This 250-bed academic community hospital is the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, accredited by the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using MedHost and Meditech.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the Emergency Department.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care (available on-site), NIH, PALS or ENPC.
- Professional, positive, compassionate, and a team player.
The Emergency Department features 31 beds and 2 triage rooms, serving patients of all ages with a patient ratio of 1:4. Enjoy the charm of Danville, known for its picturesque views along the Dan River, historical architecture, and vibrant local culture.
Orientation is bi-weekly on Tuesdays, and all travelers must have the required certifications prior to starting. Candidates must be located 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel positions. Random drug screening and a Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form are required.
