Join our team as a Travel RN in the Emergency Department (ER) at a leading acute-care hospital in Hickory, NC. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with a passion for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic setting while making a difference in patients' lives.
Position Information:
- Facility Department/Cost Center: Emergency Department
- Role: RN
- Specialty: Emergency Services
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Rotate every other
- Call Requirements: Push back hours depending on census
- Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NIHSS
- Years of Experience: 2 years
- Float Requirements: Helping hands in areas they have competencies
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 32
- Patient Ratios: 1-4, 1-5
- Equipment: Critical Care equipment
- EHR: Cerner
- Patient Population: Birth to death
Hiring Profile:
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Good patient experience skills with patients/families, critical care thinking, stamina in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in a fast-paced ED, familiarity with strokes, STEMIs, and trauma
- Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Various
- Personality Fit: Energetic and knowledgeable
- Required Education: RN with no less than 2 years of experience
Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Any at this time
- Unacceptable Attire: Hoodies, inappropriate t-shirts, etc.
MUST HAVE CPI OR HWC prior to start. Cannot be completed on site! Travelers must start on one of the following dates: October 26th, November 9th, November 16th, or December 7th. Candidates must be 60 miles or greater to be considered for travel. MUST HAVE CERNER EXPERIENCE. This area does not designate trauma levels, but the facility receives all trauma cases.
