Join a leading acute-care hospital as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Greenwood, IN. This contract position offers an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility dedicated to the recovery of individuals affected by severe injuries or illnesses. The facility specializes in providing comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to the unique needs of patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in maximizing the health, function, and quality of life of patients through personalized care and specialized treatment. The facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF-accredited for both its Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program.
Position Information:
- Facility Department: Therapy
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: 2-3 weekend days per month
- Call Requirements: None
- Required Certifications: BLS
- Years of Experience: 2+ preferred
- Float Requirements: Able to float to CRHN and CRHW as needed
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 44
- Patient Ratios: Usually carry a 6-7 patient caseload daily
- EHR: UDS
- Patient Population: Adult IRF
Hiring Profile:
- Must Have Skills/Experience: Previous IRF experience highly preferred
- Preferred Skillset/Experience: Adult IRF experience preferred; candidates with only outpatient, schools, or acute care experience may not be a good fit.
- Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injuries, amputee care, cardiac, orthopedic
- Personality Fit: Emphasis on teamwork; comfortable in a fast-paced environment with short lengths of stay; ability to work collaboratively with the team to discharge patients home.
- Required Education: Graduate of an accredited PT program and licensed in IN
First Day Instructions:
- Scrub Color: Any color except navy blue
- Time to Report: 8 am on the first day; regular hours after that are from 8 am to 4:30 pm
- Who to ask for upon arrival: Angie Hill or Michelle McClelland
- Parking: Anywhere in the parking lot; enter through the main entrance, check in with the receptionist, and ask for Angie Hill
