Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Travel RN in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) in Hendersonville, TN. This is a unique opportunity for experienced RNs to work weekends only, providing high-quality care to critically ill patients. Our facility is committed to using advanced technology to enhance patient care and streamline documentation processes.
Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 20
- Patient Ratios: 2:1 for CCU patients
- Unit Staffing Description: Unit secretary on days & nights, occasional tech help
- Type of Equipment: GE monitors, Alaris pumps, Puritan Bennet ventilators
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours/week, 3 weekend shifts/4 weeks
- Floating Policy: Contract labor floats before core staff
Patient Experience Requirements: At least 1 year of critical care experience, Meditech experience, ACLS, NIH certification.
Advanced Skills Needed: Ability to manage arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular & vasopressor drips, and ventilated patients.
Procedures Performed on Unit: Bedside central line placement, massive transfusion protocol.
Dress Code: Black scrubs.
Awards/Recognition: The facility is a CT&I (Clinical Transformation & Innovation) alpha hub for HCA, focusing on using technology to reduce time spent in EHR, allowing more time for patient care. The unit has received outstanding department/team awards and recognition.
