Join a leading acute-care hospital in Nashville, TN, as a Travel RN specializing in Med Surg. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing compassionate care to patients in a Post-Op setting.

Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds: 34
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Unit staffing includes tech support and a unit secretary available during the day shift.
• Type of equipment includes IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Ox Machines, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG machines, and bladder scanners.
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 3 shifts per week, including 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule.
• Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float, following rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled.

Patient Experience Requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members. Bedside shift report is required, along with the ability to make personal connections with patients and involve them and their families in their care plans.

Hospital Specifics:

• Certifications: Comprehensive Stroke, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center.

Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set:

• Med/Surg Experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask
• Start IVs and perform basic wound care
• Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• BLS certification

Dress Code: Required uniform is navy scrubs, tops, and bottoms.
