Join a leading acute-care hospital in San Antonio, TX, as a Contract RN in the Operating Room (OR) for a 13-week assignment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on high-quality patient care. Our facility has a long-standing tradition of excellence in healthcare, serving the community with compassion and dedication.
Unit Highlights: The CVOR unit is a specialized area where you will be involved in critical procedures such as coronary artery bypass, surgical valve replacements, and adult heart transplants. You will work with a team dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients undergoing complex surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in the CVOR setting.
- Assist in surgical procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
- Active TX RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted).
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital/specialty experience.
- Heart Transplant experience is required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with pediatric heart procedures.
- Intra-Aortic Balloon pump experience.
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
Dress Code: The facility will provide scrubs. Maintain a clean and professional appearance, with neat hair and minimal visible body art. Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited.
