Join a leading acute-care hospital dedicated to making communities healthier! We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Travel RN specializing in Behavioral Health for a contract position in Danville, VA. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment within a 250-bed academic community hospital that has been serving the region for over 120 years.
The facility is recognized as the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, accredited by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. It offers comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour emergency department services, home health and hospice agency, advanced wound healing center, cardiac rehabilitation center, two cath labs, and a day surgery center.
As a Travel RN in Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients experiencing mental health challenges. Your expertise will be vital in promoting recovery and well-being in a dynamic healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide therapeutic interventions and support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in the state of Virginia.
- Experience in Behavioral Health preferred.
- Current certifications as required for the role.
Upcoming orientation dates are scheduled bi-weekly on Tuesdays, with the next sessions on November 10, 2026. Please note that candidates must be located 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel assignments.
