As a Travel RN in the Telemetry unit, you will be part of a team that provides exceptional care in a 34-bed unit, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4-6 during the day shift. The unit is equipped with advanced technology and utilizes Cerner EMR for efficient patient management. You will work alongside a dedicated staff, including charge nurses, CNAs, and healthcare unit coordinators, ensuring a collaborative environment focused on patient outcomes.

Unit Information:

• Number of Beds: 34
• Day Shift Staff: 1 Charge, 6-7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night Shift Staff: 1 Charge, 5-7 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Patient Ratios: Dayshift 1: 4-6, Nightshift 1: 5-7

Typical Responsibilities:

• Telemetry rhythm capabilities
• Critical thinking and time management
• Assessing med-surg level patients
• Alerting Charge RN/Manager/Rapid Response/Provider when acuity level changes
• Administering IV fluids, tube feeds, PEG feedings, and IV antibiotics

Required Certifications:

• BLS

Preferred Skills:

• ACLS

• Team player willing to assist CNAs and other nurses

Dress Code:

• Scrub Color/Attire: Navy Blue

Additional Information:

• Must follow HCA policies
• Attend huddles at 0650 AM or 1850 PM shift
• Clock in no earlier than 0638 or 1838 depending on shift
• Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per pay period
