Join our team as a Travel RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a leading acute-care hospital in Richmond, VA. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled RNs to work in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 3 cath labs
- Number of Staff: 10-11 staff per day in cath lab
- Type of Staff: Mix of RNs and cardiovascular technologists
- Patient Ratios: 3 staff per room
- Type of Equipment: GE X-ray/MacLab
- EMR: Meditech
Typical Procedures Performed:
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
- Impella, balloon-pump
- Peripheral cases
- Complex PCIs
- Occasional devices
Skill Set:
- Must Have: Experience working in an interventional cardiac cath lab
- Preferred: Experience working in a high-volume lab handling complex cases
Best Personality Fit:
- Easy-going, kind, friendly
- Able to work in a fast-paced, busy lab
Required Certifications:
- RN, RCIS, RT
Floating Area(s): None
Dress Code: Light blue scrubs (provided by the hospital)
Unit Guidelines/Policies:
- Act professional; attendance is vital
- Able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of call-back
Weekends and On Call: On call some weekends and weekdays
