Join our team as a Travel RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a leading acute-care hospital in Henderson, NC. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing care to adult and geriatric patients. We are committed to supporting our nurses with a strong orientation schedule and a collaborative team atmosphere.

Position Information:

Role: RN
Specialty: PCU
Shift: 7P-7A (12 Hours)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: Yes
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Years of Experience: 2 years in an acute care hospital
Float Requirements: Yes, to Med/Surg and ED/ICU overflow (care for PCU/Medsurg overflow patients)

Unit Information:

Number of Beds: 12
Patient Ratios: 4:1
Equipment: Typical unit setup including computers on wheels, IV pumps, and poles
EHR: Paragon
Supervisor: Danika Binkley

Common Diagnosis/Treatment: CHF, COPD, A-fib RVR

Must Have Skills/Experience: Rhythm recognition, management of cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone

Preferred Skillset/Experience: NIHSS

Personality Fit: Proactive, outgoing, friendly, team-oriented

Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing; PCCN certification preferred

Dress Code: Scrub color: navy blue or black; no unacceptable attire specified.
