Join our team as a Geriatric Behavioral Health Registered Nurse in Brookville, PA! This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work in a specialized setting focused on the psychiatric care of older adults. You will rotate between the Medical Surgical unit and the Senior Transitions Unit (STU), a locked medical geriatric psychiatric unit dedicated to providing psychiatric assistance and medication adjustments for patients aged 55 and above. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring safe discharge planning while also addressing the medical needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to geriatric patients in both medical and psychiatric settings.
• Assist with medication adjustments under the supervision of a psychiatrist.
• Develop and implement safe discharge plans for patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

• 1 year of experience in behavioral health nursing.
• Active PA or Compact nursing license required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are mandatory.
• Must be available to work every other weekend and holiday.
• No local candidates accepted (50-mile radius).
