Join our team as a Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse at a leading acute-care hospital in Marrero, LA. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled RNs looking to make a difference in patient care while enjoying the flexibility of a travel contract.

This unit does not offer straight 3x12 schedules. Travelers can either work alternating 3x12s and 4x12s every other week or can opt for straight 4x12s. A minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele Epic experience is required, with a 1:6 patient ratio (1:4 if on a cardiac drip). Weekend and holiday requirements apply, with at least 2 of 3 holidays expected. Please note that holiday blackout dates include 10/31, 11/26, 12/24, 12/25, 12/31, and 1/1, and any holiday week requests for time off (RTO) are likely to be denied, so please discuss this with your recruiter ahead of time.

Unit Information: This general MS unit handles patients with diabetes, renal insufficiency, some overnight ortho, vascular insufficiency, wound patients, and provides backup for the stroke unit.

Required Skills: Candidates must have the ability to interpret/manage dysrhythmias and telemetry. Special equipment includes Alaris Pumps and Vital Sync Monitors.

Required Certifications: BLS. Preferred Certifications: NIH & ACLS. Scrubs should be navy blue or a combination with white. RTO is limited to less than 5 days or can be added to the end of the contract.
